Imagery & Data Pléiades 1 & 2 Satellite Imagery
The Pléiades constellation provides very-high-resolution optical products in record time, offering daily revisits to any point on the globe and acquisition capabilities tailored to meet the full spectrum of civil requirements.
Pléiades 1, launched successfully December 17, 2011, and Pléiades 2, launched successfully December 2, 2012, offer 50-centimeter (cm) panchromatic and 2-meter (m) 4-band multispectral (i.e. blue, green, red and near-infrared) orthorectified imagery with a 20-km swath ground footprint at nadir, the widest footprint of any high resolution satellite.
Pléiades 1 and Pléiades 2 are exceptionally agile with the ability to collect 1 million square km of high resolution imagery per day. Featuring two day revisit time to any location on the planet, Pléiades separates itself from the competition for site monitoring and projects requiring rapid imagery acquisitions.
Pléiades products supply detailed information about target areas and their surroundings:
• 50-cm resolution, color, orthorectified imagery.
• 20-km ground footprint at nadir, up to 100 km x 100 km in strip mapping mode.
These features make Pléiades products an excellent solution for precision mapping and photointerpretation.
