RapidEye Satellite Imagery

Spatial Energy is an authorized reseller of RapidEye - a constellation of five identical earth observation satellites which was successfully launched on August 29th, the first German commercial satellite mission. All five satellites have returned first telemetry and will be operational in 13 weeks. The satellites will take pictures with a ground resolution of (21.3 feet) 6.5 meters and a picture width of about 48 miles (78 km).

RapidEye Features:

Large Area Coverage: Images more than 4 million km² of Earth daily.
Revisit time: Capable of reaching any point on Earth daily
High Resolution: Produces imagery with 5 Meter pixel size
Collects imagery in five spectral bands - Blue, Green, Red, Red-Edge and Near Infrared. RapidEye's satellites are the first commercial satellites to offer the Red-Edge band, which measures variances in vegetation, allowing for species separation and monitoring vegetation health.
